Please estimate the total kilometers (1 mile = 1,6 km) travelled by car, bus, train and plane on your whole journey to Jyväskylä and back home. With this information, we will estimate the carbon emissions of delegate travel. Data will be used for study purposes and congress statistics. The data collected will be anonymously handled, and no personal information about travelling will be given to any third party.

We offer childcare free of charge, 12th to 15th June, for kids from 9 months to 7 years old. The space is limited for 20 children. If you tick this option, the local organizers will contact you regarding additional details.
Lunches will be served 12th-15th June in the congress venue premises.

Local couch surfing opportunity can be offered for about 20 delegates. More information will be provided for those who tick this option. Please note that ticking this option does not guarantee we can match you with a local host.
The personal information you provide when you register for the event will be used by the hosting organizations (University of Jyväskylä and SCB) in connection with the administration of the event and may be shared with the service providers when necessary. The participant list with affiliation and e-mail will be made available for registered congress participants. Please inform the congress secretary if you wish your information to be removed from the participant list, eccb2018@conbio.org.
Cancellations with requests for registration refunds must be received in writing before the 1st of May 2018, the deadline for course participation and field excursion cancellations is however already the 1st of March 2018. A EUR 50 processing fee will be applied to refund requests received by the deadline given, eventual bank charges will also be deducted. The refunds will not be given for cancellations received after the given deadlines nor will they be given for failure to attend any events. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method used and will be processed within 30 days if the refund is approved. Please contact the secretariat at eccb2018@conbio.org regarding all cancellations.
